Q:What is a fangame?
A:Exactly like fanfiction and fanart. If you like to write, you usually start out writing stories about other folks' characters (Fanfiction). If you like to draw, you draw other people's characters (Fanart). Fangaming is exactly that -- we are enthusiasts. We aren't trying to sell our games for profit or oust out other videogame companies - we're fans, we like the games, and we like to make games. Some will say that it is indeed illegal, but as far as I see it, it's no more illegal than fanart/fanfiction (which, yes, are illegal, technically).
Q:Can you teach me more Japanese?
A:No. As I cannot stress enough -- I barely know japanese. I can maybe say a few full sentances. My "Crash Course" in japanese is about all I know.
Q:Some of the dialogue in your Sonic X Summaries aren't what they say in the 4KIDS english dub. Did they change it?
A:That's a fuzzy matter. Sonic X does not contain alot of content which 4KIDS would find offensive (except when one of Eggman's robots decides to obliterate government property like fighter jets and aircraft carriers) -- so I would have to say no. When I watch an episode, I asess the situation, read the body language, listen to the character's tone of voice, and pick out words I know, then I write the dialogue based on what I gather. On average, I'd say about 30-50% of the "dialogue" I have in my Sonic X Summaries is guess-work (it depends on the episode, of course). So it's obvious I'm bound to get some stuff wrong -- but look at it this way: So far, I'm one of the only websites who posts Sonic X "translations" (and I use that term very, very loosely) as quick as I do. Subs are only into... what? Episode 6? 7? And I'm up to Episode 25. You can wait for quality or quantity, your choice.
Q:What's the progress on TD2/TFH/TGS/etc?
A:Quickest way to annoy me = Bother me about when this stuff will be done. TD2 is a side-project that I don't give much attention, TFH was my main-project but I continually get sidetracked by other stuff, and TGS will be finished once I have all the resources to do so. In the words of ID Software (I think 3DRealms says this too): It'll be done when it's done. No sooner and no later. Sit on your butt and be patient.
