Rush Hour

So you've come across the official website for Rush Hour, a car club started by Wolff on May 15, 2005.  This isn't your everyday group of street racers putting the same stickers on all their cars, though - only the most experienced drivers (or residents living in the state of Illinois) will be permitted to race with the infamous Biohazard logo on their cars.  Don't expect to see riced-out Honda Civics here, either...  Nothing short of the most expensive and rare cars will be driving in Rush Hour.  And yet, the whole kit is only going to cost an interested member, on average, $50.

twolff321's SupraSo what's the catch?  It's a video game car club, for the recently released Forza Motorsport.  Microsoft has finally come out with one of the most anticipated racing simulations for the Xbox since the system's debut a few years ago.  Complete with over 200 cars, all fully customizable with both cosmetics and power, a slew of various racing tracks ranging from official courses to illegal street races to the now infamous Nurburgring, Forza packs a show for any and all racers like no other.

One of the most innovative features of Microsoft's new racing sim is the ability to host and join in online car clubs.  Any player with Xbox Live can participate, and all it takes is a simple sign-up process through the game's Car Club service, and from there it's just a matter of finding people to join.  Once a club consists of enough members, they can pool the cash they earn in various races together to distribute evenly among all members of the club, as well as participate in team races and really promote themselves.  It's an experience that brings racers that much closer to enjoying all their work in the garage, tuning their rides to the max.

twolff321's 3000GTAs far as Rush Hour is concerned, it was started by the club's president, Wolff, as a type of experiment.  After winning several races with the Nissan Skyline, the idea to start a group for people living in the state of Illinois and otherwise experienced racers began forming.  From there, it's been a learning process, with Rush Hour growing more each day.  The requirements to get into the club are simple - if you live in Illinois and can prove yourself to the car club, then you're in.  While this will mainly be a one-on-one street race with Wolff using S-class cars, sometimes just impressing one of the members in-game can be enough to earn an invite into Rush Hour.  Basically, if you see the tag [RSHR] or a Biohazard logo on one of the cars you're racing, try driving as best as possible (if you're interested, of course).

Questions?  Comments?  Concerns?  Want to just talk to Wolff about Rush Hour, and possibly set up a street race?  Hunt down the Gamertag: twolff321 over Xbox Live to talk.  We'll see you on the streets.
