Zonefox's decision to constantly monitor the Scrap Brain Zone and to act as a scout to help others progress through it safely has resigned him to a lifetime within it's walls. Between the few travellers and Zonerunners that occasionally pass through, are days, sometimes even weeks, of uneventful solitude. The temptation to leave is overcome by the thought that he will save many lives by helping people through the deadly concrete and metal maze that was once Robotnik's main base of operations - so all he can do is wait, here in his voluntary prison, gazing out over the artificial landscape and smoke-filled skies....
